Submissions for volume XI of our flagship publication, Inter Alia are now open!
The publication comprises long form essays and case commentaries on a subject of the writer’s choice. We mainly look for argumentative pieces that seek to contribute towards legal discourse by offering a new perspective on a contemporary subject in any area of the law. Inter Alia is an open access publication and will be published on our website as well as in hard-copy journal. This is an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate your research, analytical and writing skills. If successful, your published work may be an excellent addition to your CV.
If you wish to submit to Inter Alia, please ensure you observe the following guidelines:
Submissions must be between 4000 to 6000 words (excluding references).
The author must be a current undergraduate or postgraduate student at any UK university. Submissions from students at Durham will be evaluated separately. However, all submissions must be made through the same form below.
References must adhere to the OSCOLA system. An overview can be accessed here and a detailed guide can be viewed here.
In terms of academic standard and rigour, it is the same as that of a high 2:1 or 1st class essay at Durham. More about the criteria can be found here.
