Submissions

We are now accepting submissions for our Michaelmas Blog. The theme is,

The Impact of Judicial Diversity on Human Rights Across Common Law Jurisdictions

Every term we invite short form submissions on a specific theme. The theme for this term revolves around the relationship between judicial diversity and human rights in common law jurisdiction.

Submissions should be of around 600-800 words. The process is competitive and a limited number of submissions will be published. Standard academic referencing is required. Structure, focus area and style are flexible. However, the process is competitive. We will only publish a limited number of submissions, these will be announced towards the end of the term alongside a talk delivered by the evaluator on the theme.

It is our pleasure to share that Dr Dimitrios Kagiaros, Assosiate Professor at Durham Law School will evaluate submissions. Dr Kagiaros’ research spans international human rights and UK constitutional law. He also serves on the editorial board of the European Convention on Human Rights Review.

Please make submissions through this form. Submissions close on November 11, 2025.

Submissions for volume XI of our flagship publication, Inter Alia will open in Epiphany 2026.

The publication comprises long form essays and case commentaries on a subject of the writer’s choice. We mainly look for argumentative and contemporary submissions that are contributing towards legal debate, offering a new perspective on a current topic. Inter Alia is an open access publication and will be published on the DLR website as well as in hard-copy journal.
