We are looking for an outreach officer, a sponsorship officer, commercial editors and blog editors. Details about available roles and the process to self-nominate and vote below.

Roles

Outreach Officer: Responsible for all communications. Work on our social media strategy, collaborations with other societies and our newsletter.

Sponsorship Officer: Secure sponsorships for the society. Ensure we are well-supported to work towards our objectives.

Commercial Editors (2): Write about developments impacting business and contribute to our publications. Mergers, acquisitions, economic policy, fintech, AI and more!

Blog Editors (2): Curate our termly blogs and contribute to our publications. Select themes and review submissions. Write about current issues in law and business.

how to self-nominate and vote

How to self-nominate:

  • Once the nomination period is open, go to www.durhamsu.com and log in to your account by clicking on the “Sign in” button at the top of the screen.

  • Once logged in, hover over your name at the top of the screen and click on “Account/Profile”.

  • Next, click on “My Nominations” on the left-hand side of the screen and a list of any elections that you can self-nominate for will appear. Complete the information required and submit your application. 

    • If you can't see the election then you may have more than one account on the website. Try logging in with a different account or contact the ASK team by raising a ticket here to check and merge your accounts and group memberships. 

How to vote:

  • When the voting period opens, go to www.durhamsu.com and log in to your account by clicking on the “Sign in” button at the top of the screen.

  • Once logged in, follow this link to see a list of elections that you can vote in. 

    •   If you can't see the election then you may have more than one account on the website. Try logging in with a different account or contact the ASK team by raising a ticket here to check and merge your accounts and group memberships.

Timings:

  • Self-nominations open: Now!

  • Self-nominations close: 12pm Tuesday 14th October

  • Voting opens: 3pm Tuesday 14th October

  • Voting closes: 3pm Friday 17th October

  • Results announced: before 5pm Friday 17th October
